Pathways CIC Recognised in Parliament During Visit from Labour MP Connor Naismith

Pathways CIC was proud to welcome Connor Naismith MP, Labour Member of Parliament for Crewe and Nantwich, to our offices last week.

The visit marked our recent success in being awarded a Princess Royal Training Award, a prestigious honour approved by HRH The Princess Royal and delivered by City & Guilds to celebrate employers that demonstrate outstanding commitment to learning, development, and skills impact.

During his visit, Mr Naismith learned more about our pioneering health, work and wellbeing programmes, which operate nationally on behalf of the NHS, local authorities, and other stakeholders. These services are designed to create sustainable change for individuals and communities, helping people to live happier, healthier lives.

In a wonderful surprise, Mr Naismith shared that he had placed an Early Day Motion in Parliament recognising Pathways CIC’s exceptional achievements and our award winning, evidence based training and skills development programme for work and health.

“It was a pleasure to meet Connor and discuss the work we do, and we were thrilled to find out that Pathways got a mention in Parliament through an Early Day Motion,” said Yvonne Clarke MBE, Managing Director of Pathways CIC.

“This achievement is a true reflection of the dedication and passion of our staff, who work tirelessly to support individuals and communities to thrive. The award highlights not only the excellence of our training but also its wider impact on health, employment, and wellbeing. It is wonderful to see our innovative approach acknowledged on a national stage.”

Bridging the Work and Health Training Gap

Pathways CIC identified a national training gap in integrating work and health support. To address this, we developed a CPD certified one day Work and Health Training Programme through our Personalised Care Training Academy (PCTA).

This innovative training equips Work and Health Coaches and frontline non clinical staff with the skills and confidence to deliver holistic, person centred support that helps people with health conditions to enter, remain in, or return to work. The model promotes healthier, more inclusive workplaces and communities, reducing inequalities and improving wellbeing.

Pathways CIC will officially receive the Princess Royal Training Award at a ceremony in London on December 2nd.
