Simple steps towards... sustainable, high impact, social change

About Pathways...

Pathways CIC incorporated in April 2006 was established by Yvonne Clarke and Lesley Thomas who as senior managers within Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust took the opportunity to form a social enterprise to deliver their agenda through a different methodology. Both business partners had a wealth of experience in the private and public sector and business and managerial skills and knowledge developed through other roles. Central and Eastern Cheshire PCT supported business start up by allowing Pathways to continue to facilitate existing contracts, providing accommodation and IT support until established and advising and supporting financial governance.
Yet despite all this, both partners underestimated the steep learning curve ahead, from delivering a service to running a business, capable of surviving and succeeding in an increasingly competitive market.
